Connecting You to ADHD Care
Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) is a common neurodevelopmental condition that affects both children and adults. It is characterised by ongoing patterns of inattention, impulsivity, hyperactivity, and sometimes mood instability. People with ADHD often struggle with concentration, organisation, and self-regulation in daily life.
In Australia, it is estimated that around 6.1% of children and 2.6% of adults are living with ADHD, according to recent national data. This means that ADHD affects approximately 1 in 16 children and 1 in 38 adults, making it one of the most common mental health conditions in the country.
While symptoms vary in intensity, common traits include:
Difficulty staying focused or completing tasks
Forgetfulness and disorganisation
Restlessness or excessive movement (especially in children)
Acting on impulse without thinking through consequences
Rapid shifts in mood or emotional reactivity
With the right support—such as medication, therapy, and practical strategies—people with ADHD can lead successful and fulfilling lives. Early diagnosis and tailored intervention can make a significant difference in managing symptoms effectively.

Repeat Private Prescription
If you're stable on your current dose and don't need a consultation, we can issue a repeat prescription (subject to a prescription fee). If a dose review is needed, this will be done through a consultation, and no separate prescription fee applies.
For stimulant prescriptions, we require updated blood pressure, pulse, and weight readings every 6 months, plus an annual review, before supplying further medication. Click here for more info.
ADHD Review
If you’ve already been diagnosed with ADHD and are currently on treatment, you may book a review of your medication or related concerns (e.g. anxiety), provided you can supply satisfactory documentation of your diagnosis and treatment history.
The review includes:
1-hour consultation
Pre-consultation review of questionnaires (30 mins)
Post-consultation notes and reporting
Letter to your GP and prescription, if appropriate
Shared Care Agreement sent to your GP, if they agree to prescribe under the PBS
Comprehensive ADHD assessment
This assessment with a Consultant Neuropsychiatrist provides a thorough evaluation for Adult ADHD. It includes a detailed clinical interview, standardized diagnostic tools, and assessment of co-existing conditions. Following the evaluation, you will receive expert recommendations on suitable treatment options. A comprehensive ADHD report will be provided and, with your consent, shared with your GP to support continuity of care and any necessary onward referrals.
The ADHD assessment includes the following:
Letters to 3rd Parties: This may include a diagnosis letter for an employer or college, or a letter for travelling with controlled medication. Students in higher education will receive a diagnosis letter to support their DSA (Disabled Students Allowance) application. Recommendations for exam support (e.g. extra time, separate room, mentor) may also be provided if appropriate.
Treatment Plan: A written summary of suggested treatment will be given, which may include medication or psychological therapy, practical titration instructions, and self-help resources to support ADHD management.
Prescription: An initial medication prescription may be provided if clinically suitable, along with written information about the medication.
Online Assessments: ADHD assessments can be conducted via video call for the same fee if deemed appropriate.
Follow-Up: Follow-up appointments are mandatory for those starting medication to monitor its effectiveness. Medication will not be prescribed without this follow-up.
Reduced Rate Reviews: A lower-cost assessment may be available for adults previously diagnosed with ADHD (e.g. in childhood) who now seek a review. Prior assessment documentation is required. Contact the clinic for more details.
